Brewed Scoops wanted to choose a local non-profit in the Gainesville area to donate proceeds to. The team decided on GRACE Marketplace, because of the wonderful things they do for the homeless community. GRACE is a homeless resource center located in Gainesville/Alachua County, that serves people in a variety of ways. They provide a safe emergency shelter, permanent housing, showers, hot meals, storage, case management, job training and provides space to their partners to provide health care services. This non-profit helps enable people to take the next steps in life to regain control.
GRACE’s mission is this, “to end homelessness.” Since opening on May 5, 2014, they have helped reduce homelessness in the Alachua County area by 36%. There are lots of volunteering opportunities available at GRACE Marketplace. Check out more information on their website!
